Spring Semester 2009 Due Dates

January 2 - Entire bill is due if you registered by December 21 and have not met the minimum payment requirements. Finalized financial aid awards may be deducted from the balance due.

January 5 - Registration Cancellation for Nonpayment will be processed at 3:00 p.m.  Student accounts that do not meet the payment requirements will have all courses administratively dropped.

Student Success Day - Thursday, October 02, 2008
“Thank You” to all the students who participated in the  Student Success Day 2008, we hope that you enjoyed the day’s events and are able to make your college career at South Central College even more successful!

Be sure to thank your instructors that cancelled classes to allow you to attend the event!

 

2008 N. Mankato Scholarship Award Ceremony - Thursday, August 28, 2008

Pres. Stover and Scholarship RecipientSouth Central College’s Mankato Campus Foundation provided $195,000 in scholarships to over 300 students during their Annual Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday evening, August 27, 2008, at SCC’s North Mankato Campus.

Several Presidential Scholars were honored during the event:
Patrick Groebner of New Ulm and Clarissa Schwartz of Winthrop received Glen A. Taylor Foundation full-tuition scholarships. Timothy Marquardt of Dodge Center and Andrea Preston of Janesville received Presidential full-tuition scholarships funded by MICO, Inc. SCC Presidential Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors with a 3.75 GPA or greater who in addition to their academic excellence, have exhibited leadership skills and community involvement. These awards are renewable for up to two full years of college tuition.

President Keith Stover praised the efforts of the Mankato Campus Foundation, “South Central College is grateful for the development of partnerships with business/industry and individuals that make these scholarships possible. Volunteers donate both time and money to provide a better quality of life for so many of our students.”

Applications for scholarships for next year will be available from November 3, 2008 through March 6, 2009. Current and incoming students may apply at that time via the SCC website: www.southcentral.edu
